Vietnam visa exemption is a good measure for travelers who want to enter and stay in Vietnam for a certain period without a regular Vietnam visa. It is very convenient but requires specific conditions and asks travelers to follow the standard rules to take advantage of this exemption.
What is the Vietnam Visa Exemption?
Vietnam visa exemption (also called Vietnam visa waiver, or Vietnam visa-free) implies that citizens of a foreign nationality are allowed to enter and stay in Vietnam for a certain period of time.
Having to follow any Vietnam visa procedure since the Vietnam government has signed the bilateral/unilateral visa exemption agreement for their country is not necessary for those cases.
This kind of visa exemption and the Vietnam visa exemption certificate (the Vietnam 5-year visa) differ.
you can apply for regular Vietnam visas online, in person at your country’s Vietnam embassy/consulate, or on arrival at any Vietnam international airport (Vietnam Visa on Arrival).
People who enter Vietnam under visa exemption will obtain the exemption stamp on their passports.
